Pellet Stove Ratings
Pellet stoves have been around since about 1984 and as of late caught on in a big way. With the price of heating oil and gas
going up more and more people are buying the very efficient pellet stove.
Ratings for the different models and stoves are a
difficult thing to process because of the wide range of products out there.
We can try our best to rate the various pellet stoves
but to finally pick one out that is right for you, you will just have to shop around. But here goes our ratings for two of the pellet stoves
out there.
Drum roll please. Our top rated brand and model is the
Harmon P68 Pellet Stove. This stove is an award winning stove that combines the elements of technology and a wonderful new look. The stove
goes for about $2800 and has 68,000 BTU output with a very wide heating range and limited maintenance.
It has a microprocessor that by sensing both the fire
temperature and the room temperature comes up with the perfect feed rate of pellets to keep you comfortable at all times. Harman says that
this stove will burn all qualities of pellet fuels without any problem. It is capable of heating an 1800 square foot home and keeps it
comfortable.
We give this stove our highest rating of five
stars.
The next stove we want to look at is the Breckwell P22
series. It has a lower cost of about $1500 and is considered to be a bargain. It has nickel legs and a door that is very pleasing to anyone
that sees it.
The P22 has heavy duty steel construction, digital
control panel and an automatic firestarter and fuel feed. The only thing we can tell is wrong with this stove is.. we couldn’t find anything
wrong with this stove. For the money it is an excellent buy. So we also give it 5 stars.
There you have our pellet stove ratings. We couldn’t
decide between the two. If money is no object you will want the Harmon…maybe. If you are looking for value you will want the
Breckwell..possibly.
Which ever way you go enjoy the warmth and the good
looks of a pellet stove.
